Night at the Museum at the Salsbury House
Salisbury House Foundation is pleased to present Night at the Museum, an exclusive collections exhibit and reception that will be held on August 24 from 5:30-8:00 pm.
Travel the world without leaving Des Moines! For one night only, marvel at rarely-seen treasures from around the world from the Salisbury House permanent collection. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a self-guided tour of Salisbury House that includes access to the mysterious underground tunnel, the Indian Room, and the historic Library.
Exclusive artifacts on exhibit will include:
• The famous Shrunken Heads from Jivaro tribe of South America
• Medieval manuscripts
• Antique European firearms and swords
• Native American artifacts
• Buddhist statuary from Tibet
