DESCRIPTION:MARK YOUR CALENDARS to join us on February 26th for our Annual Victory Celebration when we will look back on our successes in 2025 and look forward to what is coming in 2026. Help us recognize our Chamber by submitting nominations for one (or all) of our four awards. We will collect nominations throughout January and send out a ballot in early February for you to vote on our award recipients. You can nominate by sending an email to Director@dsmwestside.org with the name and accomplishments of your nominee or fill out the website form here. Deadline to submit nominations via website form is 2/10. \n\nAmbassador of the Year Award\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n	Current Member of the Des Moines West Side Chamber\n	Active\, Dedicated Member and Advocate of the Des Moines West Side Chamber (note: does not need to be on the Ambassadors committee to receive this award)\n	We value connection. Our Ambassador of the Year recognizes a member with the gift of extraordinary welcome. It is someone who strengthens our chamber by going out of their way to make all of our members feel welcome and help them make connections with each other.\n\n\nBusiness of the Year Award\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n	Current Member of the Des Moines West Side Chamber\n	A business dedicated to connecting with the community of West Side Des Moines.\n	We value commerce. Strong local businesses are the lifeblood of our community. Our Business of the Year recognizes a member business that has gone above and beyond during the year to give back to our community\n\n\nCitizen of the Year\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n	Individual that is committed to the future and vibrancy of West Side and has exhibited that through support of the Des Moines West Side Chamber.\n	We value community. Communities grow when our citizens give back. Our Citizen of the Year recognizes an individual on the Des Moines West Side\, member or non-member who has dedicated their time and efforts to improve the quality of life in our community over the last year.\n\n\nSoozie McBroom Service Award\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n	Current Member of the Des Moines West Side Chamber\n	Individual that is committed to the future and vibrancy of West Side and has exhibited that through support of the Des Moines West Side Chamber.\n	We value contribution. Often times we don't see the people "behind the curtain" who give their time and talents to keep all our organizational wheels turning smoothly. The Soozie McBroom Service Award recognizes a member who has worked diligently behind the scenes to make our chamber stronger.
