In its 11th year, the 2021 Holiday Market will feature over 40 of Des Moines’ favorite local artisans showcasing unique handmade crafts, jewelry, great food, home decór, including a vintage offering and more! Please join us on Friday & Saturday, Dec. 3, 2021, from 10am to 7pm, and Dec. 4, from 9am to 4pm, at Central Presbyterian Church, on the corner of 39th Street and Grand Avenue in Des Moines. Free and open to the public, proceeds generated by Central Presbyterian Church from the Holiday Market are designated for mission projects. Funds raised assist a variety of local non-profit organizations, mission projects of Central Presbyterian Church as well as philanthropic organizations across the U.S. and around the world. This year’s market includes the 44 vendors, everyone will be social distancing and wearing masks inside the building, making this a safe, one-stop gift-shopping experience this holiday season! Our vendor and product description list is at www.dmcpc.org/holiday-market and includes 10 non-profits. We’ve even heard there will be Santa sightings along with holiday music. Enjoy many delicious prepackaged homemade desserts, baked goods and fairly traded coffee which can be purchased separately from our helpful kitchen volunteers. There is parking to the west side of the church on 39th & Grand. Please enter through the front doors of the church. This year, Central is holding a special outdoor Christmas tree-lighting ceremony Friday, December 3, at 5:30pm, complete with yummy treats, carolers and an 18-foot locally grown tree from Miller’s Tree Farm in Runnells. We hope to see you at the market in December! We are a vibrant, growing congregation of nearly 500 members located at 3829 Grand Avenue, in Des Moines. Our church attracts members throughout Des Moines, from city and suburb alike. We are an inclusive church that values diversity, and doesn’t expect everyone to look or believe or think exactly alike. Central is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), though our members come from a wide variety of different denominational backgrounds to form a community centered in Jesus Christ. We invite you to come in, take a closer look and join us in our journey of faith here at Central.
