March Madness Auction Draft #3
NCAA Tourney Auction Draft
$25 Entry Fee
If you want to amp up your March Madness experience, this is for you!
Instead of filling out a traditional bracket, you will compete against 7-10 others by choosing teams you want to "own" for the tournament.
Here are the details:
- You MUST be present at the draft to participate.
- You get $100 to spend. (Not real money, of course.)
- All tournament teams will be put into a hat and chosen one by one at random.
- Once a team is chosen, the bidding begins and goes to the highest bidder!
- #1 and #2 seeds go for lots of money. #14 and #15 seeds are very inexpensive.
- Choose to buy a few very strong teams or be frugal to get many teams.
- You are seeking wins. The person whose teams end up with the most wins for the entire tournament is the winner.
- Depending on interest we will attempt to have a draft for both the Men's and Women's Tournaments.
People find the NCAA tournament more enjoyable because you end up cheering for the teams you drafted. While everyone's bracket is busted after the first round, you stay engaged because you may own one of those teams who upset the high seeds.
