The City of Des Moines is seeking input from neighborhood residents and stakeholders as it begins the process of identifying a new use for the former Fire Station 4 at 917 University Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, ahead of releasing a Request for Proposals.

Two in-person open houses have been scheduled where you can tour the building, learn more about the process, and share your ideas, priorities, and neighborhood perspectives:

City staff will be on hand to answer questions and gather feedback that will help shape the upcoming Request for Proposals. This is also an opportunity to share your broader vision for the neighborhood and how this site could support it.
